Triathlete – Cathy Yndestad

In just her second season of racing, Cathy qualified and represented the United States in the ITU AG World Championships. Since then, Cathy’s passion and dedication to the sport has produced over 45 career victories, two Age Group National Championships and numerous course records.
In 2009 Cathy completed 15 multisport events, captured 11 overall victories, three course records, an Ironman World Championship qualifying spot, and an Age Group National Championship title. As a result of her consistent high level performances, Cathy was named the 2009 USAT Amateur Triathlete of the Year.
In 2010, after capturing her seventh victory of the season, Cathy made the decision to turn professional. This new level of competition is extremely motivating and exciting for Cathy as she chases big goals in 2011. In her first full professional season Cathy will race frequently with a focus on the 5150 and Lifetime Fitness olympic distance series races.
Off the race course, Cathy’s commitment to the local triathlon community is apparent with her frequent volunteer efforts and her tri club participation and support activities. 2x AGE GROUP NATIONAL CHAMPION
